Gide-nuhs Data Deletion Policy
Effective date: July 16, 2025

At Gide-nuhs, we are committed to respecting your privacy and giving you control over your personal data. This policy explains how users of Gide-nuhs can delete their data and what happens to personal and interaction data (e.g., posts and replies) upon deletion.

1. Who does this policy apply to?
This policy applies to all registered users of Gide-nuhs, including mentors and mentees, who have created an account and interacted with the platform.

2. What data can be deleted?
You may request deletion of your personal data, which includes:

• Name
• Age
• Gender
• Email address or login credentials (if applicable)
• Your own posts and replies

We will also remove or anonymize any identifying links between you and other data (e.g., ambitions you’ve replied to).

3. How to delete your data
You can request deletion of your data by:

• Using the in-app Delete Account option under Settings, or
• Contacting our support team at: community@gidenuhs.com

We will confirm your request by email and begin processing it within 7 business days.

4. What happens when you delete your account?
Your account and profile (name, age, gender, and other identifiers) will be permanently deleted.

Posts and replies authored by you will either:

be deleted, or

be anonymized (shown as authored by “Deleted User”) if deleting them would break the continuity of discussions.
We strive to remove all personal identifiers while maintaining the integrity of conversations on the platform.

5. Retention of data
We may retain minimal data as required:

• To comply with legal obligations
• For security, fraud prevention, or abuse detection
• In anonymized or aggregated form, where no individual can be identified

Any such retained data will not be used for purposes other than those strictly necessary.

6. Third-party services
If your data has been shared with third-party service providers (e.g., for hosting, analytics, or communication), we will ensure that they also delete your data where applicable.
